The visitor centre proposed is similar to that at the CWL Clyde farm south of Glasgow. The Clyde visitor centre has good foot fall as it is nearby Glasgow city and its Southern suburbs. Moffat on the other hand is nowhere near a major population centre. Few people if anyone is likely to visit a Visitor Centre on the Scoop Hill site - the monies would be much better invested elsewhere to support local communities.

I am fairly a sure people visit Moffat for the cultural heritage, which includes wool and natural beauty of the landscape. I'm not sure the wind farm is part of that. Have you been to the Clyde visitor centre? It really is a bit a folly - a cafe in an over-designed building. No activities to speak of. If Community Wind want to invest a tourist attraction - surely they should invest directly in Moffat - support renovation and regeneration of existing facilities.
