I am all for sustainable energy, and not agains the site per se. However, the site is simply too large and the turbines too tall. There will be a massive impact on wild life and and major impact on light pollution and aspect. Taking into account the dark sky status, the ecology and the tourism - the developers need to present reduced plans that are not visible from Moffat town, enable wildlife to flourish and do not impact Moffat's hard won dark sky status.

Couldn't agree more and no it is not racist. I am not anti windfarms but we need to keep a balance in every perspective. This is one big one to many in my view.
Scotland is fairly sufficient and most of the time the energy generated is for the English market, don’t get me wrong its not a racist thing but check out how many wind farms have been rejected in the last 4 years down south! Also if you believe that wind turbines don’t effect tourism then answer this, how many turbines are in view of Edinburgh in the Pentlandite hills?
Agreed. People visit Moffat because of its conservation area and its hills. Both will be prejudiced by 75 turbines, some 250m high (the Eiffel Tower is 300m), leaning over us. There are already more than 100 turbines, built or consented, within 40kms of Moffat. No one is against renewables, but many are against the siting and the size of this proposed development. The big money is behind wind farms, rather than any other form of renewable energy.
